🐭 The Mickey Mouse Moment

– Monday Motivation –

In 1928, Walt Disney faced a crushing blow. Universal Studios had taken away his beloved character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, along with most of his animation team.

Nearly bankrupt and weighed down by despair, Walt found himself on a train ride home to Los Angeles, where he turned the moment of defeat into something extraordinary.

Instead of wallowing in loss, he pulled out a notepad and began sketching a new character — a little mouse that would soon capture hearts worldwide.

The first two Mickey cartoons flopped, yet Disney’s determination burned bright. He poured his everything into a third attempt, “Steamboat Willie,” and from that leap of faith, an empire was born.

As Walt once said:

I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a mouse.
